About the Artist: CRAIG WITHROW
Craig started his blacksmithing work in 1990 as a farrier in Northern California. After moving to Lopez Island in 1999, his focus shifted to ornamental iron and sculpture. Craig is primarily a self-taught blacksmith and uses a great deal of joinery in his work.

He does his own design work, as well as working with client's designs. the primary work in the shop is custom commissions as well as Craig's exploration with sculpture. Blacksmithing is an art form rich in tradition and expressed through craft. Craig enjoys working on commissions both large and small to satisfy the needs of the clients and the space.
